It was wonderful to see all of our families at last Wednesday. I hope you found our short time together packed with information to help your child be successul. Everyone is doing wonderful. The children are gettin more comfortable every day with procedures. Please know that PI time is still being entered for this event as well as previous donations you might have made to the class. If you look up your PI hours don't be alarmed if they are incomplete.

Students will be getting acquainted with Spelling activities that will help them be successful on Thursday tests. I have created a link to Spelling City which provides games and printables for each week's spelling words. Please go to www.spellingcity.com and find our state, school, then my name. Happy playing. This is going to be a fantastsic year!
Going Green
To be better stewards of our resources, parents will no longer receive Campus Chatter or accelerated reader TOPS reports. To know how your child is testing on their library books, please go to the "AR Home Connect" website listed below. It only takes a few minutes to sign up. You will receive email updates to your personal email after your child has tested on a book. This also informs you of their current goal and percentage of passing. Your child will need their log in information which will be sent home to you. I hope you enjoy this service.
Please read your child's planner and check their binder every evening for news and updates about the weeks activities. Your initials are requested at the bottom of that day for verification that you checked homework and read forms sent home. Every morning I stamp the planners over the initials and read any notes you may have written for me. This is our daily line of communication. It is a great practice to get into immediately.
